    Practice Manager, Data and AI Consulting
    Description:
     This leadership position is crucial for the operational success of our Data and AI consulting department. Your main responsibilities will include expertly managing client projects to ensure top-quality delivery and customer satisfaction, as well as cultivating a high-performance team environment.
    Your strategic emphasis on technical excellence, team development, and streamlined operations will play a direct role in the growth and profitability of the consulting practice.


    Conditions:

    • Full-time position, Monday to Friday
    • Hybrid/Flexible work setup based on location, offering potential for remote work
    • Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer

    Duties & Responsibilities:
    • Project Management and Delivery:

    Oversee the successful execution of Data and AI consulting projects, ensuring timely and within budget completion, and high customer satisfaction levels. Collaborate with the Project Management Office to identify and implement enhancements in the project delivery process. Serve as the main technical escalation contact for client engagements, providing expert advice and resolving complex issues.

    • People Development:

    Collaborate with the Chief Technology Officer to introduce and develop the necessary skills for delivering all products in the service catalog, such as upskilling for new products/innovations. Work with the Chief Operating Officer and People & Culture Lead to enhance consulting and business skills. Mentor, coach, and motivate team members to foster continuous growth and a dedication to excellence. Conduct performance appraisals, set objectives, and offer regular feedback to promote high employee satisfaction. Provide recommendations on proceeding or not following the Employee Probation period. Proactively recruit and onboard top talent.

    • Operations Management:
    • Monitor and optimize key performance indicators (KPIs) including utilization rates, consultant margins, project profitability, and billable hours.
    • Review and approve weekly timesheets and perform monthly checks as part of the payroll process.
    • Establish and maintain resource allocations for projects.
    • Collaborate with the Project Management Office to ensure scheduled hours align with allocated hours.
    • Coordinate with consultants to ensure actual hours match allocated/scheduled hours.
    • Address bottlenecks or resource constraints proactively to guarantee the smooth operation of the practice.
    • Adjust allocations as needed to support project delivery, leaves, and new project onboarding.
    • Provide a clear forecast of resource and skills availability.
    • Collaborate with all internal stakeholders to address any resource or skills gaps.
    • Work alongside sales and marketing to assist in pre-sales activities and proposal development.

    Qualifications, Skills, and Competencies:
    • Proven experience in Data and AI project delivery within a consulting setting.
    • Strong expertise in delivering services within a consulting environment, encompassing data and cloud services, as well as AI/ML solutions.
    • Exceptional leadership, mentorship, and interpersonal capabilities.
    • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
    • Outstanding organizational, time-management, and communication abilities (both written and verbal).
    • Demonstrated experience in managing and expanding a consulting practice with a specific focus on shaping and developing it for future growth.
    • Proficiency in presenting complex information to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
    • Strong time management skills with the capability to juggle multiple priorities and escalate when necessary.
    • Ability to work remotely utilizing Microsoft Teams.
    • Desire for a dynamic environment with opportunities for learning, growth, and exposure to diverse challenges, clients, and projects.
    • Industry certifications (Azure, Fabric, Databricks).
    • Experience in Operations Management or Workforce Management within a technical team.
