    Job DescriptionBlock is looking for a Senior Manager - APAC Income Tax to join our tax compliance and tax accounting/provision team.

    You will report to the Tax Compliance and Tax Provision Lead and will be part of the Income Tax team.

    You will assist with all corporate income tax compliance and tax accounting/provision matters relating to Block's Australia and certain Asia Pacific region companies.


    You Will:


    Manage and review all corporate income tax and fringe benefits tax compliance filings (outsourced to different service providers) concerning Block's Australia companies and certain companies in the Asia Pacific region.

    Oversee the completion of the corporate income tax provision for the statutory financial statements of Block's Australia companies and certain companies in the Asia Pacific region.

    Support Block's SEC quarterly and annual global income tax provision process with regard to its companies in Australia and the Asia Pacific region.

    Support the Global Transfer Pricing team's calculation and review of quarterly and annual transfer pricing calculations related to the Asia Pacific region.

    Partner with tax, accounting, and finance teams within Block and outside service providers.
    Monitor proposed and enacted tax legislative changes and communicate the effects of those changes for the business.
    Provide ad hoc support to the Tax Advisory team on different business and tax-driven projects.

    Contribute to the transformation of the income tax function to scale for growth, which includes tax technology adoption, process simplification and standardization, and the use of data and technology.


    QualificationsYou Have:
    Eight or more years of combined public accounting and in-house/industry income tax experience.
    Project management and compliance planning experience
    3+ years of experience with Australian tax law and regulations.
    Working knowledge of AASB/IFRS and IAS 12 concepts.
