    Senior Application Security Engineer

    About the Company

    Davidson Technology have partnered with a leading product company based in Melbourne, who are looking for a Senior Application Security Engineer.

    About the Role

    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, build, and deploy security solutions.
    • Ensures compliance controls are established and followed.
    • Supports software lifecycle planning, including risk assessments, upgrades, and decommissioning.
    • Conducts spontaneous source code reviews and offers mentoring to engineers.
    • Develops automation for health checks and audit reporting.
    • Completes security maturity assessments within domains.
    • Optimizes pipelines for DevSecOps practices.

    About You

    • Proven experience in application security, secure coding, and vulnerability assessment.
    • Strong programming skills in languages like Java, Python, or JavaScript.
    • Familiarity with security tools, such as SAST
    • Knowledge of OWASP Top 10 and application security best practices.
    • Experience with cloud platforms (ideally AWS)
    • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
    • A proactive and team-oriented approach to security engineering.
