The Role

  • As the Security Operations & Engineering Manager, you will assume a key leadership position, responsible for providing guidance in security matters and overseeing the implementation of operational security services and incident response capabilities.
  • Your role will involve coordinating a synchronised response to cyber threats and attacks, as well as providing strategic advice and facilitating the development of best practices for cyber security infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Take the lead in developing sophisticated solutions that align with business requirements, standards, and the overall IT strategy, ensuring their effectiveness
  • Develop, implement, and proactively manage operations related to incident response and cyber defence
  • Facilitate coordination among crossfunctional teams to support, maintain, and enhance security initiatives
  • Develop and uphold security policies and procedures, ensuring their ongoing maintenance and adherence
  • Contribute to the development of cyber security strategies aimed at continuously monitoring and enhancing the company's threat and risk profile
  • Conduct investigations and provide recommendations for improvement opportunities, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and ensuring the business remains innovative and up to date with marketleading technologies and industry trends

To be successful in this role you will possess:

  • Proven experience in managing a Security Operations team
  • A tertiary qualification in Computer Science, Information Technology, or relevant industry experience
  • Industry certifications in cyber security, such as GCIH, GCFE, CISSP, OSCP, or equivalent
  • Experience delivering enterprise cyber security architecture design and principles within a large and complex enterprise environment
  • Experience with enterprise IT environments, including attack modelling and response activities
  • Strong comprehension of cyber threats, common threat vectors, and techniques
  • Comprehensive knowledge of various cyber security tools
  • Expert understanding of security bestpractice methodologies and relevant regulatory requirements
