About the Role

Increase both internal and external sales in the Toowoomba region and strengthen the companies brands through outstanding customer service and tailored product and service offerings that cater to the requirements of existing and potential customers, all within reasonable timeframes.


Two roles available:
One full-time permanent and one fixed term contract

Salary Package:
$30-34 per hour DOE


Responsibilities

Sales

  • Foster internal and external sales growth by identifying, cultivating, and securing business prospects with both existing and potential customers.
  • Conduct inhouse and onsite demonstrations of welding equipment within the Toowoomba territory to facilitate sales.
  • Keep a close eye on market trends and competitor activities by regularly engaging with customers and suppliers, ensuring our products and services continue to meet customer needs.
  • Take a proactive approach in addressing customer complaints to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction. Oversee the resolution of issues related to sales, pricing, and delivery standards and commitments.
  • Provide regular updates and reports on new sales opportunities, fieldwork, growth prospects, and competitor activities in the Toowoomba territory.
  • Take charge of leading the internal counter sales team to ensure exceptional customer service. Identify training and knowledge gaps, and provide coaching and training as needed.
  • Maintain regular communication with sales team members to ensure proactive management of customer accounts.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service and consistently represent my client's brand in all interactions with customers.

Operations

  • Offer operational assistance to the Branch Manager and/or Sales Manager as needed and in their absence.
  • Handle customer payments and process goods receipts in adherence to standard operating procedures.
  • Extend supplementary support to the counter sales team during peak periods or as deemed necessary.

Yard Duties

  • Ensure that general housekeeping is maintained in excellent condition at all times.
  • Supervise the proper handling of cylinders/welding machines to uphold the highest safety standards onsite.
  • Provide assistance to team members during stock take activities as necessary.
  • Operate Forklifts and Pallet Jacks following standard operating procedures and safety protocols as needed.

Health & Safety

  • Ensure workplace safety by complying with Occupational Health and Safety standards and promptly reporting hazards and incidents.
  • Follow standard operating procedures for all tasks.

About You

  • Previous experience in welding or industrial trades is an advantage
  • Forklift certification preferable but not necessary.
