Ventia have a fantastic full-time permanent opportunity for an engaging and knowledgeable
People & Capability (P&C) Business Partner to join us and support our busy Living Services & Property Services teams in Perth.

Whilst this role is based locally, due to the geographical location of the Contracts, regular travel within Perth Metro and Regional WA locations is required.


Reporting through to the P&C Manager for Critical Infrastructure and Local Government and managing your own portfolios, this is a true generalist role that will have a key focus across a range of areas including employee relations, performance management, change management, workforce planning, engagement, training and development, recruitment and selection and career/talent management.


The role works in collaboration with relevant P&C teams to ensure business strategy is delivered in line with appropriate people practices.

You have a high degree of motivation, energy and initiative, with the capacity to deal with multiple and often conflicting priorities.

Key duties but not limited to:

  • Execute People Plans that directly enable the delivery of the business strategy
  • Maintain strategic relationships with senior management to make sure People objectives and outcomes are achieved with the desired outcome and within the required timeframes
  • Contribute to and support a highperformance culture across the client base and people, through the delivery of quality people initiatives and advice
  • Support the resolution of ER issues, ensuring advice is timely, accurate and legally compliant
  • Contribute to the execution of consistent talent practices to identify, develop, and source the right talent to deliver strategy
  • Ensure the right organisational design and efficient structures are in place to deliver to strategy
  • Lead the planning, design, management and implementation of successful change initiatives
  • Guide and partner with business leaders in negotiations to deliver strategic and commercially viable outcomes with all stakeholders
  • Timely and effective provision of advice and support aligned to budget and headcount and remuneration guidelines
  • Promote understanding of Ventia policies, standards, and procedures to enable Leaders to deliver results with common understanding of Governance and Compliance
  • Actively contribute to business initiatives to optimise efficiency and effectiveness
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders in Group functions including Employee Relations, People Services & Payroll to make sure people matters are dealt with in line with company policy, procedure and within reasonable timeframes

Skills and experience required:


  • Bachelor's degree in business, HR or related field and/or relevant experience and education
  • Solid foundation in HR with an emphasis on ER/IR
  • Experience in a servicesbased and ideally blue collared environment
  • Ability to drive and deliver on tailored People Strategies and alignment to enterprise initiatives
  • Ability to challenge people, situations and current thinking effectively and creatively with the objective of delivering effective P&C practices that support business deliverables
  • Demonstrated participation in P&C actions required for change, organisational design and organisational structure
  • Demonstrated ability to understand client needs and offer pragmatic solutions
  • Ability to operate in a fastpaced contract delivery environment, leveraging the expertise of the broader P&C Network
  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • Excellent judgement, initiative, interpersonal and communication skills
