- Provide general maintenance and carpentry functions for all university facilities. Work to include, but not limited to, carpentry work, drywall, ceiling tile, roof repairs, framing, floor tile, doors, window treatment and glass replacement and other duties as assigned. Assist with renovations/remodeling projects to campus facilities.
- Perform maintenance, repairs, remodeling and construction to all campus facilities on and off campus.
- Assist with renovation and remodeling projects.
- Review, maintain and submit records regarding time and materials expended on projects.
- Must be able to work with all carpentry hand and power tools.
- Maintain tools and equipment in safe, clean and orderly condition.
- May be required to work evenings and weekends in an emergency or in support of after-hours University events.
- Ability to operate heavy equipment such as high-lift.
- Additional duties as assigned
- Hurricane preparedness and cleanup.
- Education: High school diploma or GED
- 10 hour OSHA certification is preferred.
- Must have a valid Florida driver's license or ability to obtain one within 6 months of employment and maintain good driving record as determined by Florida Tech guidelines.

The federal Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act (Clery Act) requires colleges and universities, both public and private, participating in federal student aid programs to disclose campus safety information, and imposes certain basic requirements for handling incidents of sexual violence and emergency situations.
Florida Tech's 2023 Annual Security and Fire Safety Report includes statistics for the previous three years concerning reported crimes that occurred on campus; in certain off-campus buildings or property owned or controlled by Florida Tech; and on public properly within, or immediately adjacent to and accessible from, the campus.
The numbers provided include crime statistics that were reported to local law enforcement agencies, campus security and other Campus Security Authorities.
The report also includes institutional policy statements regarding campus safety and security measures; descriptions of prevention and awareness programs; related university procedures and important guidance; and other essential safety information.
