The Project Officer is responsible for providing high-level executive and project support to the Director Health Strategy and Partnerships and the Senior Project Manager, Health Expansion Strategy.

As Project Officer, you will support the administrative and secretariat functions of the Health Expansion Strategy Steering Committee and project control groups reporting to the Steering Committee and provide support for other strategic projects identified by the Director, Health Strategy and Partnerships and Senior Manager, Health Expansion Strategy.


The role requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a high level of initiative and professionalism with extensive experience in dealing with people from different cultural backgrounds and all levels of seniority.


About You
To be suitable for this role you will need to have experience in the below key accountabilities:

  • Ensure strong cooperation and effective liaison with all support service teams, develop, and maintain effective working relationships with peers, colleagues, and relevant managers across the university.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to coordinate meetings and other events, including workshops, accreditation site visits and room bookings.
  • Collate all meeting papers and materials for the Director and, as appropriate, seek advice on policies and procedures.
  • Check and coordinate documents requiring approval.
  • Manage small projects for the Director Health Expansion Strategy & Partnerships and/or the Senior Project Manager Health Expansion Strategy.

Qualifications

  • A degree with subsequent relevant experience or; extensive experience and specialist expertise or broad knowledge in technical or administrative fields; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
