    About the Company

    Davidson are working with a federal government client who is seeking an experienced Senior Communications Officer ideally with experience working within First Nations Communications.

    About the Role

    This role will be part of the First Nations aged care communication account.

    • Develop and deliver communication strategies and solutions.
    • Develop and deliver strategically aligned content and evaluate effectiveness of content, strategy and channels.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
    • Manage competing priorities and quality of work within tight deadlines.
    • Negotiate and influence strong communication outcomes.
    • Support team performance, productivity and accountability for outcomes
    • Contribute to section corporate management, planning and reporting processes.

    Role Fit

    • This role requires someone that has experience in communications plans and strategies.
    • Exceptional communication skills both written and verbal, with strong attention to detail.
    • Experience working in a similar role.
    • Strong organisational skills, sound judgment and an ability to work under pressure.
    • Ability to form strong and productive working relationships.
    • Demonstrated experience working within First Nations Communications, an advantage.
    • Demonstrated experience working within Government, an advantage.
    • Proven skills and experience in strategic communications. Tertiary qualifications in Communication, Public Relations, Marketing or Journalism, or possession of recognised skills or significant relevant experience in these fields is highly desired.

    The Benefits

    • $60.26 per hour + Super
    • 6-month initial contract, with a possibility of further extension
    • Brisbane CBD
    • Canberra (open to candidates from Canberra as well)
