The Role:
We are seeking a dedicated Consultant/Specialist Respiratory/Sleep Medicine Physician to join a friendly regional 229 million state-of-the-art facility An opportunity to work in a high capability rural health service providing safe quality care to patients in a broad catchment population of over 85,000 people.
This role aims to foster a culture of training and research and drive the standards of clinical care forward.
You will be expected to take part in the rostered clinical care of inpatients and conduct outpatient clinics and the outpatient respiratory function testing service.
The successful candidate will participate in the Medical Unit inpatient roster which includes providing ward rounds, on -call service, bronchoscopy roster, and other interventional procedures as indicated for clinical care. We are in the process of developing the model of care for our onsite Respiratory Function Laboratory testing service and this role will be pivotal in the way forward to bring on this vital service for patients in the region.
This is an exciting role that will suit a specialist who is looking for an exciting opportunity to build the future respiratory service for patients.
The Location:
This is a rapidly growing regional city with a population of approximately 60,000 and a referral catchment of approximately 160,000.
