About The Role


We have a new and unique role for an experienced Principal Advisor to join our Technology & Climate Change Group.

The main responsibilities of this role focus upon delivering the work that underpins our climate change response including:

  • Support the integration of climate change strategy into sustainability, organisational risk management, strategic and operational processes.
  • Develop qualitative and quantitative metrics and climate-related targets.
  • Undertake environmental lifecycle analysis of our products and by-products.
  • Manage and report on climate, carbon & greenhouse gas (GHG) data against key performance indicators.
  • Facilitate climate-related risk and opportunity assessments utilising scenario analysis.
  • Support energy and emissions efficiency opportunity assessments, prioritisation and implementation
  • Undertake energy and efficiency audits, identify and implement improvements to ensure compliance with our policies and standards, federal, state and local regulations.
  • Assist in the development of effective responses to climate change including policies, guidelines and effective stakeholder engagement and management.


About You- Relevant tertiary qualifications in environmental, sustainability or energy related fields- Extensive direct experience in sustainability, climate or energy-related roles- Experience in developing, procuring and managing scopes of work performed by 3rd party consultants.


It will also be beneficial if you have:

  • Experience with maintaining appropriate carbon accounting systems to manage energy and carbon data.
  • Experience related to working in alignment with international frameworks with respect to climate including FSB's Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD)
  • Experience in working collaboratively across a diverse range of internal functions to deliver on business objectives.
