About The Role

We have a new and unique role for an experienced Principal Advisor to join our Technology & Climate Change Group.

The main responsibilities of this role focus upon delivering the work that underpins our climate change response including:

Support the integration of climate change strategy into sustainability, organisational risk management, strategic and operational processes.
Develop qualitative and quantitative metrics and climate-related targets.
Undertake environmental lifecycle analysis of our products and by-products.
Manage and report on climate, carbon & greenhouse gas (GHG) data against key performance indicators.
Facilitate climate-related risk and opportunity assessments utilising scenario analysis.
Support energy and emissions efficiency opportunity assessments, prioritisation and implementation
Undertake energy and efficiency audits, identify and implement improvements to ensure compliance with our policies and standards, federal, state and local regulations.
Assist in the development of effective responses to climate change including policies, guidelines and effective stakeholder engagement and management.

About You- Relevant tertiary qualifications in environmental, sustainability or energy related fields- Extensive direct experience in sustainability, climate or energy-related roles- Experience in developing, procuring and managing scopes of work performed by 3rd party consultants.

It will also be beneficial if you have:

Experience with maintaining appropriate carbon accounting systems to manage energy and carbon data.
Experience related to working in alignment with international frameworks with respect to climate including FSB's Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD)
Experience in working collaboratively across a diverse range of internal functions to deliver on business objectives.
