Logistics Manager seeking State level role? Managing all facets of transport operations.

You will play a key role in supporting Senior Management to ensure the use of Company processes and procedures including Quality Systems and Risk Management framework standards are effective and efficient.


Reporting to Senior Manager responsibilities will include:

  • Ensure all business induction & training policies are followed and implemented for warehouse and transport employees
  • Ensure WH & S requirements, assess safety issues and provide solutions to the Safety Officer
  • Ensure all Visitors, Contractors and new employees, are inducted and fully understand the site rules.
  • Plan within the guidelines of all legal and statutory requirements
  • Constantly review daily plan to ensure service level KPIs are achieved
  • Ensure warehouse, dock area and transport equipment are supervised and managed efficiently to achieve customer deliveries and transport efficiencies
  • Attend and contribute to meetings
  • Ensure Paperless Warehouse and Translogix system is operational to ensure consistency of service to customers
  • Communicate warehousing and transport plans for loading and unloading and assessing feedback to improve service outcomes and operational costs.
  • Discover operational inefficiencies and introduce improvements to improve service levels and profitability margins
  • Ensuring high standards of Quality are maintained, promoting safety policies and procedures on an ongoing basis
  • Ensure HACCP compliance of all dock staff and drivers
  • Coordinate and manage AQIS inspections and all requirements and ensure all certification requirements are met and maintained up to date
  • Ensure all instances of service failure or loss or damage to customer goods, are thoroughly investigated, documented and corrective action implemented
  • Coordinate and manage customer stocktakes, stock rotation, damages and losses and cycle counts
  • Develop and manage weekly reports detailing customer trends and balances
  • Liaise with team to ensure Pallets are managed within the Company's guidelines

Key Criteria:


  • Superior Warehouse, Transport & People Management skills and experience
  • Proven track record of success working in a similar role
  • Good knowledge and understanding of compliance with the critical road safety/standards such as the NHVR (National Heavy Vehicles Regulator)
  • Ability to build effective relationships, internally and externally
  • Effective problem solver and trouble shooter
  • Excellent organisational skills and effective communication skills
  • Ability meet deadlines and handle customer demands working in a high pressure environment
  • Selfmanaged, motivated, and energetic
  • Ability to act autonomously and work under pressure
  • Flexible and adaptable to ever changing customer requirements
