About the role

  • The Op Shop Logistics Driver will assist in helping all creatures great and small by collecting donated furniture as well as helping our shop team by picking up excess donations and delivering to our various Op Shops across Brisbane. You will bring a hands on, flexible approach and be a proactive operator who thrives on delivering outstanding customer experience.
  • Unload and load trucks in a safe and timely manner
  • Multistop pickups and deliveries
  • Be part of a proactive safety culture and participate in all safety initiatives
  • Represent the RSPCA Qld team and brand by approaching your role with positivity, enthusiasm and professionalism
  • Undertake stock movements and conduct collections from our shops and donor properties
  • Assist with volunteer vehicle fleet rostering
  • Maintain a high level of discretion and confidentiality
  • Be able to work as part of a dynamic team, including the ability to supervise and train others
  • Assist with regional transport during peak periods, when required (including but not limited to Bundaberg, Rockhampton, Gympie, Gold Coast, Toowoomba).

Who are we looking for?

  • A current Open Driver's licence and excellent driving record
  • A current MR (Medium Rigid) licence with at least three years' experience is essential
  • The ability to work autonomously and use initiative
  • Knowledge of a warehousing environment including vehicles
  • Professional presentation
  • A trustworthy and honest approach
  • Excellent customer service
  • The ability/fitness to undertake physical demands of the role
  • Be reliable, punctual and hardworking
This is a casual position, based at the Wacol Animal Care Campus. Remuneration is commensurate with skills, qualifications and experience.


Applicants who do not possess a current MR licence will not be considered for this role and need not apply. Shortlisted applicants will be required to undertake a National Police Clearance check and a driving assessment.
