About the role
This unique role will not only support our Senior Leadership, but also the wider team.

You will be working closely with store teams and volunteers to ensure the successful execution of RSPCA Queensland's retail initiatives.

This role will have a direct impact on our organization's ability to generate funds to support our animal welfare work.


  • Coordinate and manage retail projects, including store openings, refurbishments, and relocations.
  • Work closely with store teams and volunteers to ensure efficient project execution and ongoing support.
  • Liaise with external vendors and suppliers to negotiate contracts and secure necessary resources.
  • Develop and maintain project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
  • Monitor project progress and proactively address any issues or roadblocks.
  • Maintain clear and consistent communication with stakeholders, including project updates and status reports.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute promotional strategies for retail initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with RSPCA Queensland policies, procedures, and brand guidelines.
  • Evaluate project outcomes and develop strategies for continuous improvement.

Who are we looking for?

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in retail project coordination or a similar role.
  • Demonstrated experience in project management, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • A genuine passion for animal welfare and a commitment to the mission and values of RSPCA Queensland.

Desirable

  • Experience in the notforprofit sector, particularly within animal welfare or retail.
  • Project Management certification or relevant tertiary qualification.
This role is a full-time position, working 38 hours per week, based at our Wacol Animal Care Campus. Remuneration is commensurate with qualifications, experience, and skills.
