This opportunity

As a Project Manager you will be leading and delivering complex infrastructure and managed services projects. This is a hands-on role that will have high business visibility through working on strategically important project/programs. This requires a self-starter who is able to coordinate and communicate to multiple stakeholders, partners and vendors and take ownership in managing updates up into management and executive committees.

As one of the key priorities you will be leading the Mobile Private Network (MPN) builds and transition of major SDWAN, Hardware/Software ecosystems (IOT), Cloud/SASE & Mobility solutions to TPG and its partners by developing and executing project plans, conducting stakeholder meetings, and ensuring all relevant project risks and issues are identified and mitigated across various departments in line with business & customer outcomes and goals.

Responsibilities;

Oversee entire project lifecycle from kick-off to closure ensure alignment with project scope, delivery, and objectives whilst continuously engaging stakeholders for project success.

Maintain focus on delivering a great customer experience by assess and address customer needs, ensuring satisfaction, aligning customer expectations with project outcomes.

Prioritize and manage projects to meet deadlines and budget ie. Implement strategies for on-schedule, within-budget projects, and ensure we efficiently utilise available resources.

Establish and maintain essential project controls. Manage budget, track schedule, maintain risk and issue registers.

Chair project meetings, collaborate for timely milestones. Uphold high standards of quality and communication.

Data Analysis and Reporting: Possess proficient understanding of analytics and reporting. Enhance business processes and workflows with keen detail.

Apply understanding of project methodologies. Create project schedules, risk/issue registers, and budgeting/cost tracking. Ensure adherence to best practices.

Prepare and deliver all project governance reports which will include weekly status updates, end-stage delivery reports, change management requests.

Take accountability for addressing project risks and issues and act as the primary point of contact and escalation.

Develop and maintain long-term governance and relationships, engage with major 3rd party carriers and support partners.

Knowledge and experience

Experience in the telecommunications industry delivering complex projects with Prince2/ITIL accreditation.

Experience in managing end to end integration of Mobile Private Network infrastructure to clients through hardware vendors and integrators with experience in RAN/CMU technology deployment is highly desirable.

Recent direct industry experience within Water or Energy / Utility industry, in particular exposure to smart metering systems as PM is highly desirable.

Knowledge and familiarity with SD-WAN vendors such as Fortinet & CISCO Meraki products and network solutions.

Good level knowledge in managing data centre and cloud transformation projects (AWS/Azure), security features and other cloud-based applications.

Ability to deal with high pressure situations and changeable environments, flexibility, resilient and tenacious with a propensity to persevere.

Proven leadership in the delivery of major projects with many teams.

Must be able to demonstrate good team building in a large matrix management environment with proven leadership skills.

Builds outstanding relationships with customers and peers alike/ Forward looking with a holistic approach.

Exposure or participation in business change/business process improvement. Acute business acumen and understanding of organisational issues and challenges.

Excellent presentation, organisation, and communication skills with the ability to build rapport across all levels of stakeholder engagement.

An ability to report into high level management with customer and operational updates using a wide variety of productivity tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint etc.)
