    This company has been a key player in the global hydraulics spare parts industry for over five decades. Their specialty is in providing reliable solutions to various sectors, handling everything from the supply of essential hydraulic components, to putting together entire hydraulic systems. In the last twenty years they've been operating in Australia, and they've been growing steadily with multiple locations across the country.

    This opportunity in Melbourne's Sunshine West allows you to apply practical Hydraulic industry knowledge, transitioning into a versatile role covering warehouse operations, customer service, and internal sales. While we welcome applicants with basic hydraulic parts knowledge in an entry-level capacity, we also encourage Hydraulic Hose/Pump technicians or similar professionals, interested in expanding their skillset into sales to apply. Your experience in the field will be acknowledged and reflected in our competitive salary spectrum.

    Role Responsibilities

    • You'll be receiving and dispatching goods and making sure they're the right quantity and quality.
    • You'll interact with clients, answer phone enquiries and process orders.
    • Provide quoting, pricing and general sales support
    • Provide top-notch customer service and product knowledge
    • Double-check and confirm customer orders.
    • Pick and prepare goods based on the delivery note.
    • Assist with stocktakes and keep the stock/warehouse in good shape.
    • If needed, help with mechanical work on connection fittings or processing pipes.

    Skills Required

    • Previous experience in a similar Warehouse Storeperson role within the Hydraulics industry, OR a background in the Hydraulics industry in a Hydraulic Fitter/Technician, Hydraulic Hose/Pump technician or similar role is highly regarded.
    • Attention to detail and strong customer service skills
    • Sales ability is highly regarded but not essential

    About You

    To excel in this role, a deep understanding of all Hydraulic parts is essential. Your ability to provide accurate advice in internal sales is important, requiring attentive listening and great attention to detail. This is a long-term opportunity, offering the potential for progression into more Senior Sales roles, Branch Management and beyond.
