    Specific Selection Criteria
  • Approval to teach and/or experience with a willingness to teach special education students with additional learning needs with the ability to cater for the communication, social, sensory, moderate intellectual disability, autism, behavioural difficulties and emotional disturbance of a diverse range of students.
  • Evidence of exemplary quality teaching to integrate a high quality differentiated curriculum in literacy and numeracy into effective and successful classroom practice for all students.
  • Demonstrated capacity to plan, deliver and evaluate differentiated Individualised Education Plans that are engaging and culturally inclusive with a focus on student engagement and wellbeing.
  • Demonstrated outstanding classroom management skills and proven capacity to implement positive behaviour strategies to enhance student engagement and participation.
  • Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills which promote collaboration with staff and positive partnerships with parents/carers, community, support agencies, staff and students.
