Job Description

We are looking for a Business Development Manager to drive the growth of our corporate subscription base via new business acquisition. You will foster key relationships in SME, corporate, tertiary, government and other large organisations, specifically in the Tech, Telco & Energy sectors, which will lead to key deals being made and revenue growth.

Your duties will be to:

Develop a strategy to engage with key B2B clients (including but not limited to SMEs, Corporates, Educational institutions, government).

Work closely with the Sales & Marketing teams to target specific clients.

Establish and cultivate a network of strategic client contacts across key industry verticals to drive revenue growth.

Identify key decisions makers within organisations to target with subscription solutions.

Work with sales to provide input to packaged business offers/solutions.

Manage client relationships closely in order to land key deals and partnerships.

Nurture relationships to ensure ongoing client satisfaction and offer new solutions which drive incremental revenue growth.

Conduct effective business development activity through mainly physical meeting, telephone and email communications and online demonstrations.

Define key stakeholders and working processes at the beginning of all projects ensuring regular communication at all times.

Qualifications

Essential:

Direct experience in client acquisition and client management.

Demonstrated ability to build leads, close deals and cultivate a B2B client base to drive organic and incremental revenue growth.

Account Management experience with demonstrated ability to grow client satisfaction.

Demonstrated ability to build buy in and gain agreement for concepts with stakeholders.

Recognised industry connections.

Experience in commercial management of Subscription based products.

Leadership experience with a demonstrated ability of driving commercial outcomes via leveraging strategic relationships.

Proactive management of multiple factors within a time critical environment.

Highly organised with the ability to plan to prioritise workloads.

Ability to collaborate efficiently and effectively with senior executive stakeholders.

Desirable:

Media industry experience

Subscription product experience
