The Role - We are looking for a Consultant, Complaints Systemic Issues to oversee the compliance function relating to possible systemic issues and incident/ breach and drive improvement throughout the business to address root causes of complaints. This role will work alongside the reporting team to identify root causes of complaints and manage a program of work to improve member experiences with the ultimate goal of reducing incoming complaints to the team.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the management of possible systemic issues and work with relevant leaders in the organisation to ensure effective management and closure of items
- Ensure full compliance to the ASIC regulatory guide RG271 relating to possible systemic issues including overseeing closure of the PSI's
- Identifying root causes of complaints and prioritising and delivering on improvement activities to ensure tangible outcomes for members
- Work with the relevant leaders to investigate PSI's that have been raised by the complaints team and provide a summary report of the PSI
- Maintain accurate and up to date information in the complaint database relating to PSI's to facilitate provision of accurate reporting, information and feedback to the business and regulators
- Prepare for regular meetings of the Systemic Issues Committee (SIC) and work with leaders to support in the closure of PSIs and/or Incidents/Breaches relating to RG271.
- Support in the development of and, if required delivery of board reporting relating to PSI's and other improvement/ change initiatives
- Support reporting manager to increase the visibility of the Complaints team within the organisation and support the creation of cultural change relating to complaints
To Be Successful in This Role You Will Possess:
Strong knowledge of Risk & Compliance related processes such as the Incidents and Breaches process.
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills and ability probe to fully understand issues
- Knowledge of Complaint's Management (preferred)
- Ability to drive behaviour and mindset changes with key stakeholders
- Strong client focus and business integrity
