Join National team of event specialist- 6 months with potential to go perm, working Monday Friday
An exciting, immediately available Events Manager opportunity has become available to assist with planning, logistics and delivery of a large upcoming national event.
Using your sense of passion and pride in putting on a memorable experiences, this role will see you ensure the successful delivery of this important corporate event and may lead onto a more permanent opportunity within this exciting business.
Reporting to National Events Manager, your key responsibilities will include:- Organise and deliver logistics for professional development and networking events including face to face and digital format
- Booking of training rooms and source quotes and book external venues
- Coordinate and host Zoom Webinar sessions
- Liaise with Content Lead and State Managers, Event Working Groups to determine topics
- Book and liaise with external platform providers
- Manage logístical requirements from external platform providers
- Prepare and manage event run sheets
- Prepare Marketing packs for promotion requirements
- Engage and manage speaker/presenter logistics
- Organise Catering
- Welcome and manage presenters and guests
- Prepare speaker biographies and source speaker profile photos
- Manage technology requirements
- Ensure WH&S compliance is implemented throughout event delivery
- Identify and coordinate any audio/visual requirements
- Organise and develop session slide packs
- Host speaker teleconferences prior to the event
- Coordinate transition from face to face to virtual form
What you need to bring to the role:
- Solid experience working in large scale events ideally within corporate inhouse functions
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Has a high attention to detail; crosschecks own work for accuracy
- Adheres to schedules and agreed timings; sets priorities through time management
- Possess initiative, drive and optimism
