We are seeking an
Asset Performance Technical Advisor who will provide technical guidance and insight into the reliability and performance of our assets.

With strong asset management and asset reliability knowledge and experience you will be a key person in the analytics, processes, and technology to investigate and present the reliability and performance of the wide portfolio of assets across water, wastewater, and drainage networks.


You will contribute to building a greater understanding of how our assets are performing through investigation and data analytics, with a key focus in spatial analysis and advanced Power BI presentation.

In using contemporary visualisations, you will present that reliability and performance to internal and external stakeholders.


Based in our Leederville office, this role, reporting to the Manager Asset Performance, will be one of the senior members in a team of asset performance specialist who engage widely across the business to support investment and business reporting.


Are you methodical and analytical? This role will require you to:
Lead asset reliability analytics, monitoring and reporting to support asset management investment decisions and internal and external regulatory reporting.


Lead investigations, monitoring and data analysis to determine root cause of systemic asset and network reliability, performance and risk issues and provide guidance and input to strategic, planning, and operational solutions.

Support and influence the implementation of Reliability Engineering approaches and Reliability Centred Maintenance.

Lead and oversee the maintenance and uplift in the input and workings of asset management decision support tools.

Lead, oversee and implement processes that assist decision making and reporting of asset reliability, performance, and risk.


Lead, coordinate and deliver asset and network monitoring programs to support demand, capacity, utilisation, asset management and energy efficiency performance and risk assessments.


Compile, publish and present asset and network performance reporting with a focus on geospatial presentation for the relevant asset portfolio to meet business level of service and compliance requirements.

Lead and/or support the management of project teams to deliver section or business unit outcomes.

Provide technical assistance in geospatial analysis and reporting, and corporate systems data.

Coordinate and support asset and network data and information improvement initiatives.


Key skills and experience:


  • Degree level qualification or postsecondary qualification plus experience in relevant discipline
  • Considerable experience in:
  • Reliability Engineering
  • Asset Condition and analysis
  • Asset Management / Engineering
  • Asset performance investigations, monitoring, analysis, and reporting
  • Data analytics and visualisation techniques in presentation, in particular advanced Power BI
  • Process management
  • Considerable and proven experience in problem solving, root cause analysis and issues resolution
  • Demonstrated investigative, analytical and report writing and presentation skills
