We have a permanent opportunity available for a Support Officer, Credit Ops within the Customer Financial Solutions team. This role is full time however we may consider job share opportunities.

Our Credit Ops team focuses on optimising the Water Corporation's debt collection process while minimising the cost to collect and maximising collection rates.

About the role:

Management of mercantile portfolio, liaising with stakeholders
Processing of daily mercantile referral files
Uploading daily bulk communications used for the collection of overdue debt
Initiate and Manage restrictions and create work orders for Country towns
Ability to prepare correspondence, investigate and analyse data
You are a problem solver who likes to take ownership
You want to develop your skills across a wide variety of areas within credit
Deliver outstanding customer service to our customers, both internal and external
Negotiating payment arrangements and lump sum payments
Assisting with Returned Accounts

Key skills and experience:

Experience dealing with Mercantile Agents and stakeholders
Excellent interpersonal, communication, customer service and organisational skills
Solid computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft office software
A "cando" attitude
Have an appreciation of balancing the needs of the customer with the needs of our business
You demonstrate empathy for your customers situation
Ability to work autonomously and displays proactivity
