    Tim Ho Wan, a Michelin-starred beacon in Melbourne's culinary scene, specializes in Hong Kong dim sum with a twist of innovation. We're on the lookout for a Chef who not only respects the art of traditional dim sum but is also eager to push culinary boundaries.

    Role Overview:

    • Culinary Creativity & Menu Planning: Craft menus that blend tradition with innovation, manage food and labor costs, and ensure quality supply procurement.
    • Dim Sum Mastery: Skilled in traditional Hong Kong dim sum creations like shrimp dumplings and siu mai.
    • Quality Control: Uphold Michelin-grade standards in every dish, from prep to presentation.
    • Team Leadership & Collaboration: Work with the team to enhance restaurant performance, resolve preparation issues, and foster a positive work environment.
    • Skill Development & Training: Guide the kitchen staff through demonstrations and mentorship, enhancing their culinary skills.
    • Active Culinary Participation: Be hands-on in food preparation and cooking, bringing passion and creativity to the table.
    • Hygiene & Safety: Champion kitchen hygiene and food safety practices.
    • Staff Development: Play a role in selecting and training the kitchen team, building a culture of excellence.
    • Innovation: Infuse traditional dishes with innovative ideas, creating a unique dining experience.

    What We Offer:

    • A competitive salary reflecting experience and skill level, within the range of $68,000 to $76,000 annually.

    Ideal Candidate:

    • Proven track record as a Chef in high-end or Michelin-starred restaurants, with a strong emphasis on dim sum or Asian cuisine.
    • Have served as a Head Chef in any Tim Ho Wan restaurant globally.
    • A blend of respect for tradition and a drive for culinary innovation.
    • Leadership qualities that inspire and develop a diverse team.
    • Commitment to the highest standards of food safety and kitchen hygiene.
