About the role

Are you looking to kickstart your career in Accounting and Finance and gain valuable hands-on experience within a dynamic and community focussed environment? We now have an opportunity for a 12-month Traineeship in Accounting, Finance and Payroll where you will both learn on the job and while studying a Certificate III or Cert IV in Accounting or Accounts Administration.

Under the guidance of experienced professionals, you will contribute to the accurate and efficient management of financial operations within our local council.

_ In this role, you will undertake duties such as:_

Assisting with daytoday financial transactions and reconciliations.
Compiling and maintaining financial records, including invoices and payments.
Supporting the preparation of payroll.
Assisting with budgeting and forecasting processes.
Collaborating with team members on special projects and financial analysis.

Skills & Experience

A keen interest in pursuing a career and qualification in Accounting or Finance
Strong numerical and analytical skills with attention to detail
Excellent communication skills in both written and verbal formats
Proficiency using basic accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite
Interested in undertaking further education and studies
