About the role


The City of Canning are seeking a highly skilled analyst to play a crucial role in managing and optimising a diverse range of assets owned and operated by the City.

Reporting to the Coordinator Asset Management, you will collaborate with internal stakeholders to build capability and capacity for strategic asset management and develop long-term strategies and plans that align with City objectives and ensure sustainability of community assets.


_ A snapshot of your new role:_

  • Utilise datadriven insights to develop and implement sustainable longterm asset strategies
  • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to build internal capability, informed decisionmaking and influence change
  • Provide trusted asset management advice, backed by research and evidencebased information
  • Analyse asset performance, condition and lifecycle to identify trends, challenges, and opportunities for continuous improvement
  • Develop robust risk reporting and service level reporting
  • Optimise asset lifecycle costs and prioritise investment decisions through predictive modelling

How you will thrive in this role:

  • Completion of a degree in a related discipline or five years' relevant experience
  • High level knowledge of asset management principles, processes and best practices
  • Exemplary analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data precisely and use data driven insights to inform decisionmaking
  • Excellent communication skills able to convey complex information simply and collaborate effectively with stakeholders to influence change from various levels
  • Proven experience with asset management software, GIS and database systems
  • Fulltime contract until July 202
  • Flexible work 19 day month RDO
