    13459 Finance Manager for an AU Education and Training Services Provider

    Status: Full-time, 40 hours/week
    Schedule: 5:00 AM to 2:00 PM Philippine Standard Time (Mon-Fri) | 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM AEDT (Mon-Fri)

    Responsibilities
    • Record Financial transactions, enter and categorize financial transactions into accounting software, particularly Xero. Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.
    • Balance Sheet reconciliations and preparation of financial statements (monthly)
    • Management of all payment facilities (Stripe, PayPal, PaypaPlane)
    • Administrative and Compliance tasks related to student enrolments (including Invoicing, payment plan setup, management of documentation)
    • Reconcile bank statements with the Xero general ledger to identify discrepancies.
    • Accounts Payable: Process and record invoices in Xero.
    • Manage payment schedules and ensure timely payments while maintaining good relationships with vendors.
    • Accounts Receivable: Generate and send customer invoices using Xero.
    • Track and follow up on outstanding customer payments, recording transactions accurately.
    • Payroll Processing: Assist in calculating and processing employee payroll in compliance with Xero features. Ensure accurate deductions for taxes, benefits, and other withholdings.
    • Prepare and lodge Business Activity Statements (BAS) using Xero.
    • Stay informed about changes in tax regulations affecting BAS.
    • Prepare financial information for tax filings, collaborating with tax
    • professionals. Ensure compliance with tax regulations.
    • Maintain organized and secure financial records for auditing purposes. Ensure compliance with record-keeping regulations.
    • Stay updated on accounting software and technology, especially Xero. Utilize Xero features to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
    • Communicate effectively with internal teams and clients, regarding financial matters.
    • Stay informed about changes in accounting standards and regulations.
    Qualifications
    • 4 or more years of experience in Australian accounting
    • Proven experience as a Senior Bookkeeper or General Accountant, with a minimum of 3 years or more in a similar role.
    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred).
    • Relevant professional certifications such as Certified Bookkeeper (CB) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) are highly desirable.
    • Xero certification and familiarity with other accounting software is a plus.
    • Proficient in using accounting software, particularly Xero, and Microsoft Excel for data analysis.
    • Expertise in BAS preparation and a strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
    • Solid knowledge of payroll processing and tax laws
    • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills, with a keen attention to detail in data entry.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
    • Ability to adapt to new technologies and utilize accounting software features for enhanced efficiency and accuracy.
    • Capacity to manage and maintain organized, secure financial records for auditing purposes.
    • Demonstrated commitment to professional development and a passion for contributing to the success of the finance and accounting function within the organization.
