The role of Finance Manager is responsible for leading the finance functions, business services, secretariat and governance management for the organisation. As part of a new governance structure, the role will also have responsibility for establishing, identifying and implementing financial systems, policies and processes for the Finance function and financial compliance of the organisation. This position will be part-time (2-3 days per week).

Responsibilities

·Develop, implement, and monitor appropriate financial systems, procedures and internal controls

·Support the development of the annual budget and ongoing forecasting process for the organisation.

·Management of the accounts payable and payroll functions.

·Owner of the General Ledger and uphold data integrity including monthly preparation and review of Balance Sheet reconciliations.

·Prepare month end and quarterly reports for management and Board, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets and cash flow statements.

·Act as Company Secretary and work with CEO on AGM

·Update ACNC re change in Directors and relevant document

·Manage internal control frameworks, governance, and risk management policies.

·Ensure compliance of the organisation's governing documents, ACNC, ATO and charitable regulations.

·Management of audit engagement including provision of information

Qualifications, skills and experience required

• Be CA/CPA qualified with 10 years' experience (min 1 year in a not for profit) and a strong knowledge of compliance, risk management, audit and internal controls.
• Be experienced in company secretarial processes.
• Have detailed knowledge of accounting principles and standards
• Have comprehensive understanding of ATO, FBT, superannuation and other regulatory compliance requirements.
• Be a self-motivated, positive, and resilient leader with excellent multi-tasking skills.
• Respectfully foster culturally sensitive relationships.
• Have good written and verbal communication skills.
• AICD or relevant governance/directorship training will be highly regarded.
