Associate Director, Workplace Relations

Associate Director Workplace Relations to join the Workplace Relations Branch within the People, Culture and Governance Division of the Ministry of Health. The Associate Director Workplace Relations is a key leader in Award improvement and modernisation for NSW Health.


The Workplace Relations leads system-wide industrial relations for the health system, including negotiating and determining wages and employment conditions for the NSW Health Services and the conduct of industrial cases in the NSW Industrial Commission.


What you'll be doing


You will manage workplace relations projects and activities related to Award reform including the provision of high quality, timely industrial advice to Senior Executives and key staff within the Ministry of Health, public health organisations and related government agencies.


Stakeholder engagement and the ability to resolve or satisfactorily address industrial issues in a timely manner are key components of the role.

Essential requirements- Significant experience in the analysis and management of major industrial relations situations and projects in a multi-disciplinary environment.
Significant skill and experience in the conduct of complex and sensitive negotiations including analysing potential financial implications and preparing and advocating cases before the Industrial Relations Commission and other tribunals Demonstrated skills and experience in managing all aspects of policy research, development, review and evaluation
