SESLHD covers a geographical area of 468 square kilometres from Sydney's Central Business District in the north to the Royal National Park in the south.
SESLHD proudly delivers health care to around 930,000 residents and also provides a key role in caring for residents of Lord Howe and Norfolk Islands.
SESLHD staff deliver high quality health care across a variety of community-based services ranging from prebirth to palliative care. They are home to a diverse population which is set to increase to 1,022,000 by % growth).In the community, 30% of people are from non-English speaking backgrounds, 37% have long term health conditions and 8720 identify as being Aboriginal.
The Role
Be a leader and manage key stakeholder relationships and negotiation processes both within SESLHD facilities and with multiple external organisations across the corporate services, and capital works portfolios.
The incumbent is responsible for providing high level expert advice to the Executive Director Operations, Chief Executive, and Executive Team Members regarding all portfolio matters.
The General Manager, Corporate Services reports to the Executive Director Operations and is responsible for providing leadership across a broad range of corporate services portfolios servicing the District.
The role leads a large team and plays a critical role to support the delivery of SESLHD strategic and operational plans.
You will participate as a member of the Operations leadership team and will have significant autonomy in directing and managing the functions of Corporate Services.
In consultation with Executive Director Operations, Chief Executive, and Executive Team members determine organisation wide strategic direction and prioritise the implementation of operational plans and projects.
About you
To succeed in the role, you will have a proven track record in provision of corporate services and can demonstrate experience in leading change, motivating teams that traverse a range of professions and job types and can inspire confidence that can influence and enable others to adapt to new ways of doing business and providing services.
On behalf of SESLHD the General Manager will be required to liaise regularly and build strong relationships with external suppliers and other health and government bodies including Health Infrastructure and HealthShare.

- The input and engagement of stakeholders and customers will be paramount to success in the role of General Manager Corporate Services. Describe the mechanisms you deploy to achieve high levels of engagement from diverse groups with competing interests and priorities. Referencing an example how have you successfully delivered customer focused, efficient and reliable services.
- Corporate Services involves managing quite different business activities and services requiring a different mindset and skills base to achieve the desired outcomes and manage vastly different workforces. Referencing an example explain how you have successfully traversed these services.
Essential Requirements
- Tertiary qualifications in a related discipline and/or extensive proven experience in the leadership and management of corporate services in a large and complex environment.
An attractive remuneration package within the range of $217,997 to $242,100 per annum, with annual performance reviews, will be negotiated with the successful applicant.
