Seeking trades people to work on events staged at Sydney Showground including the Sydney Royal Easter Show

Trade Roles required:


  • Carpenters
  • Electricians
  • Welders
  • Plumbers
  • Cabinet Makers
  • Skilled Trades Assistants
These roles will offer a variety of work, on a numerous events held at Sydney Showground.

The Sydney Showground event calendar is full and you will have the opportunity to work on music & sporting events, exhibitions and the
2023 Sydney Royal Easter Show (SRES).


Flexibility and availability is preferred as you will be rostered on an event based roster, which may be day, evening/night and weekends.

Availability to work for the period of the 2023 SRES 6th - 17th April 2023 will be highly regarded.

You will be paid in accordance with the Amusement Event and Recreation Award.

Qualified trades will be Grade level 7 rates:

  • Monday
  • Saturdays $33.7
  • Sundays $47.2
  • Public Holidays $74.3
  • These rates are inclusive of the 25% casual loading
  • Overtime rates apply, plus superannuation
Trades assistants Grade will be based on level of skill.

The RAS has a team of over 140 full-time staff and an indispensable pool of casual staff who work on the Easter Show, and other Sydney Showground events.
