The purpose of this position is to safely perform and assist in building maintenance and event operations for the Sheep & Wool section of the 2024 Royal Easter Show.


The
Sydney Royal Easter Show is the largest annual ticketed event staged in the Southern Hemisphere and we are currently looking for
Sheep & Wool Pavilion Labourer to join the team for a short period of time.

You will be responsible for the delivery of a range of duties including, but not limited to:

  • Ensure the Pavilion maintains Bio-security protocols
  • General maintenance of the pavilion, whilst ensuring safety at all times
  • Prepare pens for the arrival of the Exhibitors
  • Assist with the setup for all Competitions
  • Setup for presentations
  • Assist with the movement of District Exhibit Fleeces
  • Assist with package fleeces with labels for return to Exhibitors / Brokers
  • Assist with bumpin/out where required
  • Liaise with cleaning staff where necessary
  • Assist with fleece displays
  • Other duties as may reasonably be given


This role is a short-term casual role commencing in March 2024 to April 2024, and will require you to work the 2024 Sydney Royal Easter Show period
(22 March to 2 April 2024).


The hours for this role will be as rostered, with a significant level of flexibility required during the Sydney Royal Easter Show.

Weekend work is essential for this role and additional hours may be necessary based on demand.

Qualifications

  • Completion of Year 10
  • Forklift License (desirable)
  • Trade Qualification (desirable)
  • First Aid Certificate (desirable)
  • WHS training (desirable)
  • Event experience (desirable)

Experience
