Work Location: Perth - Fortescue Centre - Fortescue's Perth office is located on the traditional lands of the Whadjuk people.

Roster: 4 Days, 4 Off, 4 Nights, 4 Off, 4 Nights - Fixed Term 2 years

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Security Officer to join our team in a full-time capacity. The Security Officer will be responsible for providing tactical personnel support and ensuring the safety and security of our employees and visitors to our facilities.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct routine patrols of assigned areas to detect and deter unauthorized access or suspicious activity.
Monitor and operate security systems and equipment, including CCTV cameras and alarms.
Respond promptly and effectively to security incidents, emergencies, or disturbances.
Provide support to the operational team by implementing security protocols and procedures.
Coordinate and communicate effectively with team members to ensure a cohesive approach to security operations.
Conduct thorough investigations of security breaches or incidents and prepare detailed reports.
Assist in the development and implementation of security plans and risk assessments.
Provide excellent customer service while always maintaining a professional demeanor

Qualifications and Experience

Valid Security Officer license or relevant certifications as required by state regulations.
Proven experience as a Security Officer or similar role, preferably in a tactical or personnel support capacity.
Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with diverse individuals.
Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations and make quick, sound decisions.
Proficient in using security equipment and systems, including CCTV monitoring and access control.
Ability to work rotational roster
Physical fitness and the capability to perform patrol duties for extended periods.
Understanding of emergency response procedures and first aid/CPR certification preferred.
