    Position Summary

    Retail Sales Team (Full Time)

    The NBA is the world's premier basketball league and likewise The NBA Store is one of the world's premier retail experiences. It is the intersection of sports fan, fashion and culture with basketball as its backdrop. Since our first store in 1998 in New York we have been known for this premium retail experience. As we grow The NBA Store brand globally our next stop is Australia.

    Providing officially licensed product of the NBA from on court wear to team apparel is what we do. We are the destination for all your favourite player jerseys, training product, hats, team wear and collectables. If its in the NBA you can get it at The NBA Store.

    Principle Duties and Responsibilities

    The Role:

    At The NBA Store, our Retail Sales Team are the playmakers and energy of The NBA Store brand. These basketball fanatics are dedicated to fuelling the passion for the NBA and fashion merchandise by meeting the needs of our loyal customers and casual shoppers alike. Our customers rely on our team to help them find and select products that represent their individualism, team pride and personal style. Working in our retail stores requires our Retail Sales Team to provide the energy to an exceptional experience to each and every customer, maintain our meticulous product presentations and be a subject matter expert on our products and services.

    Role & Responsibilities:

    Generate Sales

  • Produce sales gains, by providing customer service.
  • Meet or exceed Company Objectives in all individual statistics.
  • Participate in store maintenance per the current visual guidelines including proper merchandising, signage and store cleanliness.
  • Maintain a professional appearance consistent with Dress Code Policy.

    • Control Expenses

  • Protect Company assets within guidelines of NBA Store Retail policies.
  • Participate in managing store inventory including processing shipments and resetting merchandise.
  • Assist with accurate product counts in a consistent and timely manner.
  • Support and adhere to all NBA Store Retail policies, procedures and guidelines.
  • Other duties as assigned.

    • Job Required Knowledge & Skills

  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate verbally in a clear and professional manner.
  • Ability to initiate completion of tasks or activities without necessary supervision
  • Ability to operate a computer, as well as maneuver relative software programs.
  • Ability to lift up to 20kg.
  • Ability to climb a ladder and work with hands overhead.
  • Standing required for up to 100% of the time.
  • Flexible availability – including nights, weekends and holidays.
  • Ability to prove eligibility to work Australia.
