We are looking for a switched-on Manager, Service Management.

You will be responsible for ensuring that the Service Management team effectively manages the IT service management functions on behalf of the Bank.

Your background

To be successful in this critical role you will be responsible for:

  • Lead and manage enterprise wide ITSM functions for critical processes (including request fulfilment, change, asset and configuration management,, incident and problem management, knowledge management.)
  • Provide technical leadership of the institution's ITSM strategy and enabling IT Service Management to evolve with contemporary delivery models and services
  • Ensure that appropriate process governance mechanisms are established to support the effective execution of these processes and functions
  • Align the Service Management functions in a structure that will enable continuous improvement
  • Identify key gaps in knowledge and develop team members to be fully across their responsibilities


Skills and Experience- Prior experience in setting up a Service Management capability- Experience - working within large complex IT departments with complex,- Good knowledge of ServiceNow is essential (but the focus needs to be on Service Management as a practice as opposed to purely ServiceNow) Solid understanding of disaster recovery and high availability architectures- Tertiary qualification in a relevant field and/or equivalent industry experience and relevant ITSM certifications- Strong leadership and people management skills- Extensive experience governing and driving the execution and coordination of business critical ITSM processes- Experience facilitating organisational and capability for change.
