About the opportunity:


Reporting to the Director of Corporate, the Manager Quality Assurance and Risk has a key strategic focus in relation to organisational risk culture and quality assurance and risk management.


The primary deliverables of the role include:

  • Strengthening the Institute's quality, risk and compliance strategies, frameworks, systems and reporting to ensure they are appropriately developed and operating effectively to manage quality and risk objectives and compliance requirements.
  • Developing and managing an internal audit and assurance plan, independent audit assurance activities and associated continuous improvement plans.
  • Providing effective leadership of the quality assurance and risk team
  • Partnering with Executive, Management and other internal stakeholders to provide advice and guidance in respect to emerging strategic and operational risks to ensure compliance requirements are identified and managed proactively, and in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  • Managing enterprise risk management (ERM), business continuity and insurance.
  • Driving a risk aware, quality focused culture across the organisation.
  • Graduate qualification in a relevant discipline and extensive relevant experience in management and implementation of quality, risk and continuous improvement frameworks, systems and requirements
  • Demonstrated experience in the delivery of robust quality assurance and audit programs
  • Demonstrated effectiveness in leading quality assurance teams, with a proven ability to lead, motivate and develop a team of skilled and professional staff
  • Welldeveloped communication, stakeholder engagement and influencing skills that foster a positive and collegiate approach with other stakeholders and effectively drives required outcomes
  • Highly developed written communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to tailor approach for audience, intended purpose and impact
