About the Role:


We have exciting opportunities on offer to join the Institutes Hospitality, Cookery and Patisserie Team in teaching and assessing units from the Certificate III (SIT31021) Patisserie Training Package and Certificate III Cookery (SIT30821) Cookery Training Package.

The commencing salary is dependent on educational qualifications and experience. The full-time salary range from $78,564 - $111,391 per annum plus 10.5% Superannuation.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Provide excellent training and assessment for the benefit of students, their employers and industry within the guidelines of the Tourism, Hospitality and Events Training Package in the area of Hospitality, Commercial Cookery, and/or patisserie
  • Develop resources and assessment tools to support this delivery and develop and maintain relationships with industry and key government bodies.
  • Actively maintain and share current personal knowledge and skills in vocational industry practice and teaching/ pedagogy.
  • Comply with the legal requirements, expressed through the Institute's policies and procedures, applicable to teaching and assessing at William Angliss Institute.

Key Selection Criteria:


_ Please write a paragraph for each KSC, explaining how you meet the selection criteria, based on your previous work/life experience. __Only applicants that address the key selection criteria will be considered for this role._**- Applicants require a minimum vocational qualification of either;

Preference is given to those who may be dual qualified with both SIT31016 Certificate III in Patisserie (or equivalent) AND SIT30816 Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent)

  • Minimum teaching qualification as per the Standards for

Registered Training Organisations:
Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116) or equivalent.

  • Demonstrated ability and experience to plan, teach/train and assess in a range of units in the Tourism, Travel and Hospitality training package or accredited curriculum in the areas of Patisserie and /or commercial cookery.
  • Ability to research and develop appropriate teaching/training materials and methods of assessment, and adapt delivery and assessment to meet student needs using appropriate technology in a diverse teaching environment.
  • Knowledge of current trends in the Hospitality industry specifically Commercial Cookery and/or patisserie and/or hospitality
  • Demonstrated behaviours that align with the William Angliss Institute Values.
