The Opportunity


We are looking for a skilled
Construction Manager to join our team to manage and support the delivery of a CSR Capital Project.


_ This position is offering an 18-month fixed term contract, with the view to extending._


Reporting to the Project Manager this is a fast paced, varied and rewarding role where you will be required to demonstrate professional knowledge of construction management and delivering excellent service standards.

Working alongside internal and external stakeholders, you will manage a particular portfolio predominantly based in Villawood NSW.


Key Responsibilities

  • Overall management of all appointed contractors for construction, including site safety and resolving all onsite issues
  • Execution of site enabling works and set up of site processes and systems to manage a major construction project
  • Management of the Construction contractor including claims, meetings, contractual correspondence
  • Managing interface with key contractors including communication of impacts and changes
  • Analysing and assisting with the development of tenders and making recommendations
  • On time delivery budgets
  • Resolving design issues with the responsible subcontracted designers
  • Key contributor in design and documentation processes to ensure agreements for built scope are fulfilled
  • Managing the financial position of projects including cost reporting, forecasting and variation management
  • Ownership of maintaining project schedules
  • Leading commissioning and defects management for the new facility
  • Comply with WHSE authorities in accordance with the responsibility's matrix

Selection Criteria

  • Degree qualified in Civil/Structural engineering or Construction Management
  • Tertiary qualification in project management
  • Demonstrated experience in construction project management
  • High level of project, organisational and time management skills
  • Manufacturing experience viewed favorably

You will also be able to demonstrate

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage high activity and to drive teams forward
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written and an eye for detail
  • A passion for providing a safe working environment
  • Intermediate to advanced PC skills, including Word, Excel, Outlook etc.
