- Provide accurate management reporting to assist with key decision making
- Assist with continual improvement of the processes and reporting within the business
- Participate in planning and budgeting processes
- Provide high level support and ensure accuracy of financial information
- Analyse financial information to assist business profitability and growth
- Assist in preparation and lodgement of FBT and Income tax returns
- Assist in regulatory requirements of the Group, including Company Secretarial tasks
- Understanding of BAS & IAS requirements
- Understanding of Assets & Depreciation
- Tertiary qualifications in Accounting (essential)
- CA or CPA Qualifications (preferred)
- Company Secretary qualifications or relevant training
- Ability to comprehend complex issues with a very analytical approach
- Being responsive and flexible, whilst using your well-developed accounting skills to meet organisational demands, decision making and regular reporting
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- Attention to detail and the ability to retain a high level of accuracy, whilst working on multiple tasks
- Strong mathematical and analytical aptitude and data analysis skills
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills & other relevant IT software / databases
- Supervision / Management of staff
- Experience in regulatory/APRA reporting.

About the role
The Management Accountant / Company Secretary, will join our team in the Cranbrook (Townsville) office, and will report directly to the CFO / Company Secretary. This role will provide Accounting and Administrative Support to all of our client's divisions. The successful candidate must have a strong work ethic and be able to work both autonomously & as part of the team. They must be extremely reliable, highly motivated, with exceptional organisational & communication skills & be able to quickly adapt to a fast paced work environment and changing priorities.
This role is heavily geared towards Management Accounting and FP&A, but also includes Financial & Regulatory Reporting.
