What you'll do:

Lead and inspire a team of supervisors to ensure they're focused on achieving operational excellence.

Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the operations team, encouraging feedback and implementing best practices.

Develop and implement operational strategies to enhance productivity, streamline processes, and achieve key performance indicators (KPIs).

Monitor and analyse operational performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as needed.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive alignment and ensure operational efficiency across the organization.

Make safety your number one priority and ensure everyone's working in a safe environment.

Manage operational budgets, including forecasting, tracking expenses, and optimising resource allocation.

Serve as a point of contact for escalations and resolve operational issues in a timely and effective manner.

Skills and experience required:

Proven experience leading blue-collar teams

An entrepreneurial mindset

Waste Management or similar industry experience

Computer skills - proficiency in MS Office suite

Teamwork – work across multiple departments and build relationships

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Ability to resolve problems effectively and effectively

Proven ability to be agile in a fast-paced environment with conflicting deadlines
