    The Role


    Based in Molendinar on the Gold Coast and is a permanent, full time role.

    The Operational Manager will play a pivotal role as part of the Leadership team. The position is responsible for multi-site leadership, management, and mentoring Service Leaders within a region. This position will ensure the development of staff skills in delivering a client-centred approach in alignment and compliance with the relevant regulatory frameworks, safeguarding practices and relevant contractual and budgetary requirements.

    The Operational Manager will work closely with the CEO and Senior Management team to manage and supervise a workforce of talented people to deliver quality services and programs to an exceptionally high standard and skill, effectiveness and achieved desired outcomes. This role will lead and influence a workforce cult to new heights in quality, professionalism and enjoyment of their work and engagement with clients and families.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Ensure continuous improvement in the delivery, monitoring, and review of client services, including the implementation and embedding of effective ongoing feedback processes and ensure this is reflected in all areas of service delivery.
    • Support the appropriate resourcing, planning and maintenance of service infrastructure.
    • Set priorities in line with Service vision and overall strategic direction.
    • Drive performance against KPIs as detailed in the strategic plan or as individually agreed.
    • Facilitate growth of services and ongoing image of Headway ABI in the broader community.
    • Provide day to day support, direction and mentoring for Teams to achieve business plan outcomes. Including performance management, supervision, and direct management of staff.
    • Oversee and successfully manage housing accommodation portfolio, including but not limited to SIL houses, respite and residential.
    • Innovate and implement strategies aimed at improving operations, with a focus on initiatives to reduce company costs, enhance retention, and elevate overall employee productivity.

    To Be Successful

    • Diploma or tertiary qualification in Business, Human Services, Social Work or related disciplines
    • Minimum 5 years' experience within the Disability Services/NDIS industry in a similar role
    • Current Queensland driver's licence including the provision of a reliable vehicle with full comprehensive insurance.

    Qualifications and Licenses

    • Ability to obtain and maintain a current driver's license
    • Blue card
    • National Police Check
    • NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
    • Evidence of rights to work in Australia.
