    Aboutthe role

    You will beproviding high level professional to support internal and externalstakeholders regarding councillor community engagement. Youwill action requests from Councillors for advice and support onoperational matters through the facilitation of service- relatedcommunications between Councillors and the organisation. Youwill also action requests from community organisations for smallamounts of financial support through the Councillors'Discretionary Fund. You will provide high leveladministrative support to councillors to enable them to carry outtheir elected duties in an efficient and timely manner, whileensuring confidentiality, discretion and governance compliance onall matters. You will ensure appropriate arrangements are inplace for internal and external meetings, official commitments,invitations to events etc. including room bookings, catering (ifappropriate) speeches, agendas, as well as organise all aspects ofcouncillors' travel including flights and accommodation, carhire and expense claims.

    Aboutyou

    To besuccessful in this role you will have a Certificate IV in Businessand a minimum of 3 years' experience in a related / similarrole preferably in customer services/community engagement. You will have Qualifications (membership and or certificate) orexperience in public consultation (e.g. IAP2) and experience insocial media activity. You will need experience in conductingor assisting in stakeholder consultation including groupfacilitation. Strong interpersonal skills includingrelationship building and negotiation are essential as well as theability to plan and organise self and others to ensure the timelycompletion of tasks as part of a team, interacting with teammembers to deliver a high level of service.
