about the company

The company is one of South Australia's largest and most established banks. The working location of this role is conveniently located in the heart of Adelaide CBD. They are looking for temps to assist them in their financial year end closing from now till end of August.

about the role

In this role you will prepare and review disclosure packs for the full year financial report. In addition, you will support key accounting reviews (e.g. consolidation assessments, impairment reviews etc). There would be BAU financial accounting functions including completion of reconciliations, journal processing etc as required. In addition, you will provide support during the audit, as well as support on the review and analysis of financial drivers and performance from prior periods.

about the manager/team

This role reports to the Senior Manager of Statutory Reporting. You must be able to build relationships with colleagues quickly as the core internal colleagues for collaboration would be the Financial Controller, Group External Auditors, Corporate Secretariat and the wider Finance team.

skills & requirements for the role

To be considered for this role you should possess tertiary qualifications in Accounting, finance or a related discipline, plus a current membership in a related professional accounting body (e.g. ICAANZ, CPA) or international equivalent. You should also possess prior experience within a mid-large organisation working in accounting. Advanced excel skills are advantageous.
