- Produce high-quality research outputs by publishing in national research journals, presenting at conferences, and taking a lead role in research outputs.

- Completion of a PhD in the neuroscience or health-related subject.
- Demonstrated expert knowledge and concussion/traumatic brain injury OR relevant experience in neuromodulation.

- A developing reputation and track record of publications in reputed refereed journals and presenting at conferences.
- Evidence of successfully seeking, obtaining and managing external research funding.
- A growing record of supervision of Honours and Research Higher Degree students to successful completion.
- Experience in meaningful internal service roles in conjunction with active contributions to external activities

About This Opportunity
We are seeking a Research Fellow to contribute to the Acquired Brain Injury in Children (ABiC) program. This person will have expertise in concussion, traumatic brain injury, and cutting-edge neuroimaging technologies. They will be required to engage in research to further their expertise and growing research profile, aiming for national recognition in their discipline.
As a Research Fellow within the ABiC program, you will mentor and supervise students, conduct data analyses, manuscript preparation, and pursue independent and collaborative funding opportunities to support research initiatives. The successful candidate will demonstrate competitive proficiency for the NHMRC investigator grant scheme.

This is a full-time (100%), fixed-term position for up to 2 years. At Academic level B, the full-time equivalent base salary will be in the range $108, $128,201.75, plus a generous super allowance of up to 17%. The total FTE package will be up to$126, $149,996.05 annually. As these roles are covered by an Enterprise Agreement, you will also receive regular remuneration increases in line with the Enterprise Agreement.
The greater of joining the UQ community are broad: from being part of a university, to recognition of prior service with other Australian universities, up to 26 weeks of paid parental leave, 17.5% annual leave loading, flexible working arrangements including hybrid on site/WFH options and flexible start/finish times, and genuine career progression opportunities via the academic promotions process.
