About the role

About you
You'll bring a confident, collaborative and solution focused approach. A sense of humour will add to your resilience and ability to lead your team and help them grow. With a wealth of up-to-date IR/ER knowledge to share you'll support a cohesive service experience to the organisation.

Along with sharing the MercyCare values you'll have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Employment Law or a relevant discipline
  • Extensive experience in an IR/ER specialist role advising on key issues and practices, as well as managing complex employee relations matters
  • Comprehensive knowledge and interpretation of employment legislation, industrial awards/agreements and Enterprise Bargaining
  • In depth knowledge of employment contract management, workplace investigations, performance management coupled with excellent research, analytical and reasoning skills
  • Experience in team leadership is ideal but not required if you have the skills to step up
  • Extensive coaching and business partnering experience
  • Demonstrated initiative and ability to selfmotivate to achieve timely outcomes
  • Experience within a large complex organisation ideally in the nonforprofit sector is preferred
  • Driver's Licence
  • National Police Clearance (obtained within the last six months)
