About the role


This impactful role holds the ability to ignite inspiration and bring positive transformation, enhancing the lives of people within MercyCare's Residential Aged Care homes.

Guiding and overseeing all aspects of operations, from care standards and legal requirements to certifications, staffing, finances, accreditation, and safety, you will shape an environment where excellence thrives.


About you
You'll have a passion for ensuring quality care and a love of developing strong teams with a cohesive purpose.

With extensive stakeholder management experience and the ability to design, and embed change you'll be looking for a leadership team that is collaborative and focused on excellence.

The aged care sector is undergoing significant transformation, to support that change we are looking for an experienced resilient leader, who is not afraid of hard work and wants to deliver great outcomes for our staff and the older people we serve.


Your experience will include:

  • Experience in the health or aged care sectors would be beneficial but we want to hear from people from other industries with transferable skills
  • Tertiary qualifications in health, management, business or a related field is highly desirable but not essential.
  • Significant management experience in leadership role.
  • Strong track record in leading personcentered, quality, and compliant services
  • Experience in leadership, coaching for performance, mentoring and professional development of others.
  • The ability to innovate, design, resource and implement services.
  • Extensive partnering, influencing skills and advocacy abilities across contract management and commissioning of new services to achieve desired outcomes.
  • COVID and Influenza vaccinations are preferred but not required
  • National Police Clearance (obtained within the last six months)
  • Most importantly, the determination to strengthen the workplace culture and create fantastic homes for our residents.
