Due to ongoing growth, we are currently recruiting a motivated and qualified Plant Maintenance Fitter to join our Maintenance team.


As a Plant Maintenance Fitter, you will have a good understanding of preventative and breakdown maintenance and would assist with all maintenance work carried out within our Manufacturing facility based in Yatala, QLD.

Our facility has a wide range of machinery including but not limited to CNC's, Welding Equipment and Compressors.


Responsibilities Include.

  • Liaise with the Maintenance Manager to coordinate maintenance and repair work.
  • Identifies faults and performs breakdown repairs to minimise machinery downtime.
  • Assists in the scheduling and monitoring of regular servicing/maintenance work on machinery.
  • Ensuring all backup equipment is serviced and ready for use.
  • Monitors the use and inventories of maintenance supplies, and equipment and initiates reordering as required by the Maintenance Manager
  • Developing and fostering ongoing working relationships with counterparts from other departments to ensure the prioritisation of maintenance activities are balanced across site.
  • To supervise (when required) contractors engaged and ensure works are carried out to the highest standard.

To be considered for this position ideally you will have:

  • Trade Qualified Fitter or similar trade
  • Minimum 3 years Maintenance experience
  • Understanding of tooling/machine capabilities
  • Ability to read drawings; job specifications/instructions.
  • Current Forklift and Drivers Licence
  • A background in manufacturing would be highly regarded.
