    Description

    Our Client, Ferguson Plarre Bakehouse, has been creating food for people to fall in love with for over a century. Their brands exist to make people smile, and they delight in serving up little moments of joy for the entire family.

    Their bakehouse is growing, and they now have multiple opportunities for trade-qualified Pastrycooks with Plant Bakery experience to join their team of pie-loving individuals in Keilor, Park, VIC and be part of baking history.

    Location: Keilor Park, VIC

    Supervisor/Manager: Pastry Room Supervisor

    Position Overview:

    Your primary responsibility will be to produce a wide variety of baked goods, including pastries, cakes, and confectionaries, while utilising a range of skills, from running high-speed processing equipment to manually handling ingredients and finished products.

    Qualifications:

    · AQF Cert III in Cake and Pastry (as a minimum) and/or

    · An Associate or Advanced Diploma in Food Technology (ADFT)

    Experience and Knowledge:

    · Experience as a Pastry Cook in a fast-paced food environment (plant bakery or equivalent).

    · Understanding and experience in implementing food quality control techniques.

    · Experience in coaching on technical guidance to Pastry Cook Assistants.

    · Experience in Food Safety Standards and HACCP in a retail bakery environment

    · Meticulous attention to detail to uphold product quality and consistency.

    · Demonstrated punctuality and reliability in a fast-paced production environment.

    · Strong teamwork and collaboration skills, contributing positively to the Bakery's dynamics.

    · Proven adherence to safety procedures and always ensuring a safe working environment.

    · Enthusiasm to learn and adapt to new techniques and technologies.
