    About Our Client

    Our client is a leading entity within the minerals industry, committed to excellence, innovation, and sustainable practices. They are dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of compliance and accountability in all their operations.

    Join a team of three reporting directly to the Tax Manager and working closely with senior leadership and executives.

    Job Description

    Role Overview: 0 to 6 months:

    • Assist in ensuring compliance with the internal Tax Governance and Control Framework.
    • Provide timely tax advice to key stakeholders.
    • Prepare tax analysis on the impact of new legislation.
    • Maintain tax fixed asset register and tax funding agreements.

    6 to 12 months:

    • Prepare income tax, indirect tax, and employment tax returns.
    • Liaise with tax agents and the Australian Tax Office.
    • Maintain general ledger and reconcile tax-sensitive accounts.
    • Contribute to external auditor inquiries on tax matters.

    12 to 24 months:

    • Raise tax awareness and build relationships across the organisation.
    • Identify and implement process improvements.
    • Provide ad-hoc query support, analysis, and project work.
    • Progress to Senior Tax Advisor

    The Successful Applicant

    • 5+ years of post-qualification experience in tax, preferably with CA/CPA or Masters in Tax.
    • Proficiency in various types of taxation, including company tax, transfer pricing, and GST.
    • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders effectively.
    • Demonstrated growth mindset and eagerness to learn.
    • Strong planning, organisation, and analytical skills.
    • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively.
    • Proficient in MS Excel and proactive in decision-making.
