About the Role

  • As a Planner Asset Management, your purpose is to support the delivery of the business plan by planning and scheduling work in accordance with the maintenance strategy and operating plan as per Work Management Process to ensure downtime, waste and cost are minimised and resource utilisation maximised. Monitors asset health and predictive analytics to develop, deliver and continuously improve maintenance work planning for Operations. Review planned work developed by Work Management Planners to ensure sequencing is correct, and also supports technical and process development of the broader team.
Reporting to Superintendent Planning Asset & Health, your key accountabilities include:


Plan

  • Validates scopes of work in notifications to ensure appropriate planning and scheduling.
  • Initiates planning of Work Management activities, prioritising in alignment with the major events calendar.
  • Ensures capable resources are available for planned work by levelling internal resources, engaging with service providers and ensuring existing agreements are used.
  • Ensures the catalogued materials required for planned work are available through collaboration with the Supply function to eliminate the need for escalation.

Schedule

  • Schedules work, considering dependencies such as location, resources, equipment, work sequence, other function requirements and interactions to maximise resource utilisation minimising risk and cost.
  • Ensures alignment of all work management activities to Maintenance and other operational plans and Incorporates input from the Prioritisation meeting to the schedule.
  • Produces and communicates a detailed week +2 work schedule in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
  • Conducts field observations of scheduled work execution to verify the effectiveness of the planned and scheduled work uses the learnings to improve future planning.

Identifies Master Data quality issues and initiates actions to improve

  • Creates task lists to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of corrective work where there is probability of reoccurrence.
  • Engages with Inventory Planners and Maintenance Reliability subfunction to ensure accurate Master Data and appropriate cataloguing of materials.

About You- Demonstrated relevant experience in maintenance planning or maintenance within the resourcing sector.

  • Strong knowledge of maintenance equipment or technical understanding of conditions Monitoring and Asset Health Principles.
  • Good knowledge of planning & scheduling and the Work Management process.
  • Good knowledge of Cost Management and Forecasting processes
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to build relationships.
  • Knowledge of SAP (or an equivalent ERP system) is required.
  • While it is not mandatory, a Trade qualification or Engineering degree will be deemed advantageous.

Location and Roster
You will be based in Perth, Western Australia, in the multi award winning office tower - 'City Square'.

You will have stunning river views from your modern open plan office, state of the art facilities including virtual whiteboards and video conferencing facilities, 550 bicycle racks with ample lockers, showers and change room amenities and a large outdoor terrace with barbecues.


  • You will be working on Monday-Friday roster. Flexible work is also offered.
