    Support Technician - New South Wales, Australia - Position Partners

    Role Overview

    Aptella are looking for a Support Technician to join their team based in Silverwater. This is a full-time role reporting to the Support Services Manager. The primary objectives of this role are to provide support to customers in relation to service, hire and sales of GIS/Mapping, GPS, Total Station, Machine Control and Software solutions.

    Ideally you have a background in Surveying or similar discipline and have a strong interest in technology.

    This role is also subject to a pre-employment medical assessment and police check.

    Key responsibilities will include:

    • Providing technical phone support
    • Managing support Cases within Case Management Framework
    • Field Support for Geospatial products and Machine Control products
    • Internal Support for Field Services Team
    • Assisting Pre-Delivery Team Leader in setting up Hire Equipment and Geo-Spatial deliveries
    • Assisting Field Services Scheduler with field service requirements and scheduling
    • Customer liaison to assist with delivery requirements and system setup.
    • Delivery of Training to customers on Geospatial Products

    About you:

    To be successful in this role, you will have the following attributes:

    • Experience with surveying practices, techniques and concepts
    • Experience with survey data preparation and various software packages
    • Background in GPS & 3D Machine Control
    • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
    • Strong attention to detail.
    • Team oriented, excellent interpersonal skills and positive outgoing personality.
    • Goal oriented, outcome focused, performance driven.
    • Ability to build and manage relationships.
    • Sound computer skills and ability to use Microsoft Office applications.
    • Display a high degree of professionalism and positive attitude.
    • Strong technical aptitude
    • Able to work independently with minimal direction.
    • Ability to build and manage customer relationships and expectation.
